While visiting family in Durant, OK we took the opportunity to attend the Choctaw 6th Annual Pow Wow being held at the Event Center of the Choctaw Casino Resort. A colorful (and noisy) event, the Pow Wow is a festival & celebration in which members of the Choctaw Tribe come from throughout the U.S. and Canada to show off their native dress, dancing abilities, and playing native instruments. All in all, a very impressive show. Standing at the entrance to the Event Center are Marian, Betty, and Kaye.
The Grand Parade started several minutes late ... you gotta love Indian Time !!!
